Taverna, Ft. Worth

We went to Taverna to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary, and it was a perfect experience! As usual, you must make a reservation on a weekend or you might not get a table! We had one, and were seated right away. We had a very friendly server who took excellent care of us all night. We started with a perfectly recommended glass of wine, and the best Caesar salad around! They use fresh parmigiana cheeses and it makes a HUGE difference! We also enjoyed the Bufala Mozzarella Caprese, which had very tasty tomatoes garnishing the side. For our entrees, I had the risotto special, which had sea scallops and tomatoes and cheese with a saffron sauce. Heaven in a bowl, I swear! David had the roasted lamb shank which was so tender it literally fell off the bone! It was nestled into a bed of mushroom and truffle oil risotto, which was fantastic!

For dessert? Creme Brule and a Chocolate Budino, which is like a flourless cake, but almost like warm, solid pudding. Both were amazing! During the meal, the Executive Chef came by to make sure everything was perfect - it was! Oh yeah, we felt very important! It was a perfect evening and I always love that it is consistently spectacular!!

On a scale of 1 to 5, we give it a 5...every time!!
